Because of a variety of venues, space requirements and restrictions for some locations, two exhibits were created. The primary exhibit consists of 48 16x22 inch framed images and a complete bilingual text presentation including a project description, chapter introductions, story excerpts and image captions. Props from the farm and the migrant community are also available and add dimension to the presentation while providing additional insights into the lives of the migrant community. To aid in the exhibit installation, the photographs are numbered on the back with corresponding numbers placed on the back of each accompanying caption. Also, in place of wires, hardware was installed on each side of the image so that a consistent measurement and placement of each image can be done with ease and speed.
A notebook is included, with exhibit contents, image order and the placement of text within each cluster of images to help provide accurate assembly.
The entire exhibit consists of 6 custom build wooden crates that weigh about 70 pounds each. Each has handles and appropriate padding and packing directions.
Please contact us for an estimate of the shipping costs.
A smaller exhibit was also created, similar to the primary exhibit, but with fewer images of various sizes. Some are 11x14 while others are 16x22. As with the primary exhibit, there is a bilingual introduction, text excerpts and caption information.
Books can be made available for sale through Kent State University Press to accompany the exhibit.
